Hey everyone,
I’m excited to share an update with you all! As many of you might remember, last year, I dedicated the 10 days leading up to my birthday (10th October) to shedding light on various mental health issues. This year, I’m continuing that tradition but with a new focus—I'll be sharing 10 personal stories of individuals navigating their mental health journeys. These stories will be anonymised to respect their privacy, but they’re real, and they reflect the challenges and resilience that come with mental health struggles.
Mental health is something I’ve always been passionate about, and I believe that stories have the power to connect us in a way facts alone can’t. By sharing these stories, I hope we can all learn something about compassion, understanding, and maybe even see parts of our own experiences reflected in them.
This year, this series also coincides with Black Lives Matter month, which is another cause worth shedding light on. The intersection of mental health and race is often a silent struggle, and through these stories, I hope to highlight the importance of recognising these layers in the mental health conversation.
Lastly, a huge thank you to everyone who prayed for and sent well wishes to my friend, who recently had surgery. I’m happy to share that the surgery was successful, and she’s recovering well and in good spirits. Your support meant the world, so thank you!
Look out for the series starting tomorrow—I hope it sparks meaningful conversations and reflections.
Take care, and see you in the next edition!
